Bibliophilic Monologues

Wondrous Strange

Wondrous Strange - Lesley Livingston I wasn't impressed with this book. I find that taking English Lit courses at a tertiary level which forces you to read literature and grasp it entirely its depth ruins the pleasure you previously could have derived from reading light stories. That was a long sentence. Anyway, I had trouble with the characters. None of them resonated with me and all of them - no, I was mightily interested by Maddox, but he didn't get as much attention and neither did the other Janus (who, in my opinion are much more interesting) - seem contrived. The cliches are wondrous (haha) and I got a bit annoyed that the main character wasn't given much attention. Bleh. I didn't like it.
