I was totally psyched when I found a copy of this book in the library (poor college student, empty pockets etc) - 1) I loved the first book.2) The author is from Fiji and solidarity/support for a fellow Fijian.Somehow though, I was disappointed. Seriously, totally disappointed. I had trouble with the melodramatic writing, the possessiveness (which just begs the writer to create a situation where the protagonist ends up with another man - the vampire? Hence causing drama and strife and possible violence) and the sex. I love the idea of the series but the execution was just... not something I could bring myself to get wild about.
