I probably won't be doing a formal review for this as I read this for analysis in an academic setting and my reading is going to be coloured by me critiquing points that people usually reading wouldn't notice. With that said, the cheese is almost too thick in certain parts of the story. And I do think that Ms. Flinn does an injustice to teenage boys anywhere as a teen-aged male student in my class hotly claimed. The book is enjoyable up to about three quarters and then the Beast falls in love and everything goes over the top melodramatic.
